Station Safety & Railway Bye-Laws

Smoking is NOT permitted on any UK railway station or train.

Cycling is prohibited on all platforms and inside station buildings.

Abusive language WILL NOT be tolerated towards any railway employee or member of the public within the            railway environment.

Walking onto railway tracks and embankments is forbidden, unless directed to do so in an emergency situation by a railway employee or Police Officer.

It is highly dangerous to run anywhere within a station, you may be putting yourself and those around you at risk of injury.

Loitering and other such types of anti-social behaviour are discouraged at all times by the railway authorities.

Ensure that you purchase your ticket prior to travelling wherever possible, or you could be liable to pay a penalty fare.

It is strictly illegal to knowingly purchase the incorrect type of ticket for your journey and a contravention of railway ticketing policy. You could be liable to pay a penalty fare.
