"OTRBOT" –
or to give
it its full
name, "Off
the Rails,
Back on
Track", has
gone through
a few guises
to get to
where we are
today.
It's concept
officially
came into
being on
Friday 8th
January 2010
during a day
visit to the
London
Transport
Museum.
Initially we
decided its
pages should
be filled
with a
"one-stop-shop"
for all
railway
enthusiasts,
family
day-trippers
&
holiday-makers,
encompassing
every
feasible
facet of
trains and
rail travel.
However,
many people
have asked
us to create
a website to
offer
suggestions
for
day-trips
and holidays
using the
2530+ UK
railway
stations as
the point of
arrival.
Working
hand-in-hand
with other
information
websites,
along with
the added
convenience
of detailed
maps of the
route needed
from the
local
station,
OTRBOT have
embraced the
difficult
question, "what
shall we do
today"
and answered
it with
thousands of
possibilities. |
